Tad Herz serves as the President and Chief Financial Officer of FourPoint Energy.
Herz has more than 35 years of Oil and Gas industry experience in the domestic and international upstream E&P business. He started at FourPoint Energy as the Executive Vice President and CFO at the inception of the Company in October of 2013. In 2021, he assumed the role of President and CFO. Prior to FourPoint, Herz was Chief Financial Officer of the three previous Cordillera Energy Partners’ franchises. He was part of the team to successfully capitalize FourPoint, Cordillera II and III and also played key roles in the successful sales of the Cordillera businesses.
Herz joined the Cordillera team in 2001 after having served as the Assistant Controller of Apache Corporation since 1995. He worked in various accounting roles at Apache prior to becoming the Assistant Controller and was employed by Apache for 12 years. Prior to Apache, Herz was a Senior Auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. Herz is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BS Degree in Accounting in 1985. Herz has served on the Board of Directors for Cheyenne Frontier Days since 2022 and the Prostate Education Conditions Council as of 2024.
