Lucas serves as the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Development.
Prior to joining FourPoint Energy, Martin served as the Development Director for Marathon’s Oklahoma and North Delaware Asset, responsible for all reservoir engineering, geology, production engineering, and regulatory functions across Oklahoma, New Mexico, and West Texas—a combined asset producing >90,000 MBOED net on a $390 MM annual development budget. Before leading the Oklahoma North Delaware team at Marathon, Martin served as the Director of the Integrated Performance Organization, a centralized petro-technical support organization responsible for optimizing designs and development across all of Marathon’s North American asset base.
Martin started his career at Apache Corporation where he held roles of increasing responsibility in Exploration and Production Technology, New Ventures, and Apache’s Canada Region where he served as the Team Lead for the Duvernay Asset—driving the team from exploration through the appraisal phase. Throughout his career, Martin has been part of or led teams focused on multi-discipline integration to optimize development strategies to align with business goals.
Martin holds a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering with a minor in Geology from Texas A&M University.
