Matt Mientka

Matt Mientka is responsible for all field operations and the execution of drilling, completions and production projects as the Vice President of Operations for FourPoint Energy.

Mientka has 16 years of operational expertise, including supporting production, completions and drilling teams. During his career at FourPoint and in prior positions at BP and Newfield, Mientka has executed projects in numerous formations, including basins in Alaska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Utah, Oklahoma and Texas, with his main emphasis on operations. Mientka also has experience in completions design, optimization and execution and has been a part of technical projects and SPE papers, furthering engineered completions, fiber optic surveillance, “Extreme Limited Entry,” horizontal targeting and applying new technology to understand the geologic and geomechanical impact on cluster efficiency.

Mientka holds a BS degree and an MS degree in Petroleum Engineering and Engineering Technology Management from Colorado School of Mines.
